Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking an EHS professional in Saudi Arabia to manage health, safety and environment activities on site. The role includes preparing EHS documents, conducting risk assessments, and coordinating permits and trainings across projects.

You will lead toolbox talks, inspections, and incident investigations while ensuring ISO-aligned practices and continuous improvement in EHS performance on site.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all EHS related documents (EHS plan, emergency response plan, RA, etc.)
• Attend all EHS meetings with client and project team
• Report all EHS related issues to HO
• Provide EHS induction training to new workers
• Conduct daily EHS inspections for assigned zone
• Ensure safe work permits are taken by Engineers/Supervisors from Clients/Main Contractors
• Conduct risk assessments and inform Site Engineers/Clients/Main Contractor of high-risk areas
• Deliver toolbox talks weekly to promote EHS awareness
• Ensure PPE use: helmet, EHS shoes, coveralls for all personnel
• Check ladders and scaffolding are in good condition before use
• Maintain health, hygiene, lighting and ventilation at sites
• Maintain proper housekeeping to prevent incidents
• Perform Job EHS Analysis on high-risk activities
• Encourage workers and engineers to implement EHS practices
• Investigate incidents with engineers and inform stakeholders of findings
• Communicate investigation results for future precautions
• Administer first-aid or seek medical assistance when needed
• Maintain EHS documentation and coordinate ISO-aligned audits and training programs
• Prepare EHS and Environment Management Plans, and coordinate external audits
• Prepare Emergency Preparedness Plan and conduct drills
• Facilitate Work Permit System implementation
• Coordinate Occupational Health & Welfare measures
• Prepare EHS contractual conditions for Sub-contractors
• Stop work for unsafe practices and promote action-oriented safety culture
• Carry out monthly Risk Management Audits and quarterly system audits
• Provide EHS reports to project head and IC Head

Job description

• Conduct risk-assessment throughout site and inform Site Engineers and / or Clients/MainContractor of high-risk areas
• Ensure toolbox talk is properly delivered by Engineers every week for workers to create EHSAwareness
• Ensure all personnel are wearing personal protective equipment including helmet, EHS shoes,and coveralls
• Ensure equipment such as ladders and scaffoldings are in good working conditions prior to beused by workers
• Ensure satisfactory health and hygiene conditions for workers including the availability ofwater, rest area, and adequate lighting & ventilation
• Ensure proper housekeeping on project site to prevent incidents/accidents
• Conduct Job EHS Analysis on high risk activities to minimize hazardous conditions.
• Encourage workers and engineers to implement EHS practices
• Conduct investigations along with engineers in case of minor or major incidents/accidents
• Communicate investigation results to workers and engineers for future precautions
• Administer first-aid and/or seek medical assistance in case of worker injury
• Maintain all documentation related to EHS activitiesEstablishing, monitoring, appraising & coordinating upgraded version of integrated health, safety & environment management system (Confirming to ISO-45001:2018, ISO14001:2015 and ISO 9001 standards) for construction projects, improvising procedure manual and internal audits based on above standards.Conducting training program on EHS topics for engineers & workers in site as well as in HR organized EHS training programs.Doing Hazard identification and risk assessment for the critical activities and ensuring method statements incorporates the findings.Preparing EHS Plan and Environment Management PlanCoordinating External EHS Audits & Third Party Inspections of Equipment'sPreparing Emergency Preparedness Plan and Conducting Emergency DrillsFacilitating Implementation of Work Permit SystemCoordinating for Occupational Health & Welfare measures.Preparing Condition of contract on EHS for Sub-contractors.Stop work if any unsafe practices are witnessed and promote a don’t walk by and commitment to Action attitude all the time.Carry out projects Risk Management Audit on monthly basic and system audit quarterly.Provide EHS report to project head and IC Head to inform them the current status of EHS performance.
