Job summary

The University of New Haven – Riyadh invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Practice in Economics, beginning January 2027. NHU-Riyadh combines teaching, service and applied research to shape a new business curriculum in its formative years.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Economics, a strong teaching record, and a student-centered approach. North American higher education experience and research potential are highly valued; Saudi Arabia work authorization will be arranged.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Economics is required.
• Masters in business field with significant teaching experience may be considered.
• Experience teaching in North American higher education is desirable.
• Strong research record or potential.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; bilingual is a plus.
• Business practice experience is well regarded.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Economics (Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and related areas).
• Collect learning assessment data as needed.
• Conduct cutting-edge research advancing the field of Economics.
• Contribute to development of innovative curricula.
• Mentor and advise students to support their professional development.
• Engage in service activities for the department and university.
• Foster student engagement and career mentoring across the NHU-Riyadh campus.
