Job summary

International Maritime Industries is seeking a Work Preparator, E&I to manage work preparation for electrical and instrumentation tasks on ship projects in Saudi Arabia. The role involves Scope identification, material requisitions, BOM preparation, and production of drawings for client approval.

You will coordinate with engineering and operations, maintain documentation, and support bid activities as needed. Strong English communication and shipyard experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in E&I work preparation within ship repair environments.
• Proficient in reading engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, API, IECEx and related regulatory requirements.
• Able to work in extreme climatic conditions.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead E&I work preparation activities including scope identification and man-hour estimation.
• Prepare BOMs and requisitions; coordinate inter-trade involvement and direct purchases.
• Prepare and issue drawings/sketches, obtain client signatures, and distribute documents.
• Liaise with operations project controls for information and submittals.
• Assist in bid support and ensure timely closure of all GRNs/SRNs for cost capture.
• Provide progress updates to Production Planning twice weekly.
