Job summary

International Maritime Industries (IMI) is seeking a Work Preparator, E&I to handle comprehensive work preparation for E&I tasks in shipyard environments. Responsibilities include defining scope, quantifying materials, preparing BOMs, requisitions, and ensuring timely project progress with client approvals.

The role requires strong knowledge of electrical engineering practices, fabrication drawings, ISO/API/IECEx standards, and coordination with project controls.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in electrical engineering.
• Proven experience in E&I work preparation within a ship repair and rig repair environment at same/equivalent level.
• Shipyard/marine related qualifications or time served.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, classification, API and IECEx rules and regulations.
• Proficiency in engineering drawings and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to IMI Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Policies.
• Prepare detailed work sheets and BOMs; follow up with procurement and progress.
• Prepare drawings/sketches and obtain client signatures for approval.
• Coordinate with Ops project controls and bid teams as needed.
• Prepare material lists and ensure availability of required materials.
