Job description

The E & I Engineer is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems. The role includes ensuring system integrity, supporting cathodic protection systems, and maintaining compliance with operational and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and instrumentation systems.
  • Maintain and monitor cathodic protection (CP) systems to ensure pipeline and asset integrity.
  • Execute preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities for E& I systems.
  • Inspect, test, calibrate, and maintain instruments such as transmitters, control valves, analyzers, and protection systems.
  • Maintain electrical systems including motors, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, and power distribution systems.
  • Support plant and pipeline operations by ensuring reliable E& I system performance.
  • Participate in shutdowns, turnarounds, and major maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards, permit‑to‑work systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare maintenance reports, technical documentation, and work orders.
  • Coordinate with operations teams, contractors, and vendors during maintenance activities.
  • Use SAP PM for maintenance planning, execution, and reporting (preferred).
Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering.

Experience:

  • 5–8 years of experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and instrumentation.
  • Proven expertise in cathodic protection systems.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems in plant and pipeline environments.
  • Experience with CP system design, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • SAP PM experience preferred.
