Job summary

Saudi Gold Refinery SGR seeks a Drilling Supervisor in Riyadh to oversee surface and underground drilling operations for exploration projects. You will manage on-site crews and contractors to deliver high-quality geological data while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Reporting to the Drilling Manager, you will optimize drilling productivity, drive adherence to HSE standards, and coordinate logistics across remote mining sites, ensuring project milestones are met with minimal

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of seven years in drilling operations with at least three in supervision.
• Experience with RC and diamond drilling in hard rock environments.
• Strong HSE knowledge and contractor management abilities.
• Ability to interpret geological plans and adjust drilling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily drilling activities to meet exploration plan specs and minimize downtime.
• Enforce permit-to-work, LOTO, and regular safety inspections to mitigate hazards.
• Verify drill hole surveys and proper core sample handling for data integrity.
• Evaluate contractor performance and manage budgets and obligations.
• Coordinate rig mobilization/demobilization and ensure timely supply delivery.
• Troubleshoot drilling equipment and ensure minimal non-productive time.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with laws and permits.
• Prepare daily/weekly reports on progress, downtime, and materials usage.
