Job description

Our client, a leading company in the packaging and building materials production sector, is seeking a skilled Draftsman to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of experience in drafting. As a Draftsman, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for construction and manufacturing projects.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Engineers to convert designs into technical plans using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
• Prepare rough sketches and review them along with the engineering team.
• Gathering drawings and specifications.
• Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards.
• Create manuals that describe engineering dept. work procedures.
• Calculate dimensions and allowances with accurate precision.
• Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements.
• Accommodate safety procedures and issues in installation and construction drawings.
• Assist and coordinate with designers and engineers.
• Comply with the written policies, standards, rules and regulations of the Company.
• Perform all other duties and activities assigned to them by their superiors within the realm of their knowledge provided it is not hazardous or dangerous to their person.
• Follow health and safety regulations and procedures intended to prevent accidents or injury in workplaces or public environments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 2 to 5 years of experience as a draftsman, preferably in the packaging or building materials production sector.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting technical drawings.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of industry standards and specifications related to packaging and building materials production.
