Job summary

Beond, the world’s first premium leisure airline with an all-lie-flat Airbus fleet, is standing up new Air Operator Certificates in Bahrain BCAA and Saudi Arabia GACA. We are seeking a Director of Safety for our Saudi Arabia AOC, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The Director of Safety is appointed by and reports to the Accountable Executive and is responsible for owning and administering the SMS across the Saudi AOC, leading hazard identification, risk management and safety promotion.

Qualifications

• Qualified through training, experience and expertise in aviation safety management.
• Full understanding of the GACAR, the operations specifications, applicable airworthiness requirements and the operations manual.
• Recognised safety-management qualification and SMS implementation experience.
• AOC stand-up experience.
• Fluent English; Arabic advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage safety performance indicators, the safety review board and safety promotion.
• Provide independent safety oversight of operations and maintenance activities.

We are seeking a Director of Safety for our Saudi Arabia AOC, General Authority of Civil Aviation, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The Director of Safety is appointed by and reports to the Accountable Executive and is responsible for:

• Own and administer the Safety Management System SMS across the Saudi AOC
• Lead hazard identification, risk management, safety assurance and a just reporting culture
• Manage safety performance indicators, the safety review board and safety promotion
• Provide independent safety oversight of operations and maintenance activities
• Interface with GACA on safety matters, audits and findings

This is a required management position under GACAR Part 121 45.

The post is full-time and the successful candidate must be acceptable to GACA, the President based on experience, competence and knowledge, with a full understanding of the GACAR, the operations specifications, applicable airworthiness requirements and the operations manual GACAR 121 45 e g.

Serve full time in the position (GACAR 121.45(a)).

Qualified through training, experience and expertise in aviation safety management.

Full understanding of the GACAR, the operations specifications, applicable airworthiness requirements and the operations manual; must be acceptable to GACA (GACAR 121.45(e), (g)).

Recognised safety-management qualification and SMS implementation experience.

AOC stand-up experience.

Fluent English; Arabic advantageous.
