The Government Affairs Director leads and coordinates the organization’s interactions with federal, state, and local government entities. This role is responsible for navigating legislative, regulatory, and political processes that impact the organization’s operations, growth, and compliance—particularly within a highly regulated telecommunications environment. The Director builds and manages strategic relationships with elected officials, regulators, and key stakeholders; advocates for the organization’s policy priorities; and monitors government policies, legislation, and political trends that may affect the business. This role also serves as an internal advisor, educating leadership and cross-functional partners on regulatory and political developments and helping shape the organization’s strategic response to an evolving public policy landscape.
Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Government Relations, Law, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred. A minimum 5–7 years of experience in government affairs, lobbying, public policy, or regulatory advocacy, preferably within a highly regulated industry.

While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.
Travel up to 30-40%, particularly in multi-state or rapidly expanding telecommunications markets.
