Job summary

Qiddiya Investment Company 1 is seeking a Director – Digital Engineering to provide technical leadership across its core digital product streams. You will ensure platforms are designed and delivered to high engineering standards with reusable, scalable, and observable architectures that span multiple assets.

You will govern delivery quality, challenge low-level engineering decisions, and align vendors and embedded leaders with Qiddiya’s technology strategy and operating model.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in senior engineering leadership roles within large-scale digital environments.
• Strong hands-on technical background to challenge detailed engineering and architecture decisions.
• Proven track record leading engineering teams in complex multi-vendor delivery models.
• Experience governing reusable digital platforms, shared services, and scalable architectures.
• Deep knowledge of DevSecOps, cloud-native architecture, observability, and secure-by-design delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical oversight of core digital product streams in line with target architecture and engineering standards.
• Define and enforce engineering principles around reusability, scalability, resiliency, observability, security, and performance.
• Ensure technical decisions are reviewed and governed with clear ownership.
• Serve as senior technical authority for low-level design, architecture, and operations.
• Challenge vendor proposals and designs to maintain Qiddiya control over critical engineering decisions.
• Drive creation of reusable patterns, components, and APIs for scalability across assets.
• Collaborate with architecture, product, delivery, DevSecOps, cloud, and security teams to align with digital target state.
• Lead Staff Software Engineers embedded within product streams and vendor teams.
