Job summary

HanmiGlobal is seeking a senior Design Manager for a mega land and infrastructure program in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will provide program-level leadership, governance, and technical oversight across all design disciplines to ensure fully integrated deliverables aligned with master plans and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
• Chartered Professional membership or equivalent professional accreditation.
• Minimum fifteen (15) years of professional experience in architecture, urban development, master planning, infrastructure, or major mixed-use developments.
• Demonstrated experience within PMCM, PMC, consultancy, developer, or client-side organizations, preferably on large-scale land development and infrastructure programs in Saudi Arabia or the GCC.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of program-wide design governance, management procedures, review processes, and quality assurance standards.
• Monitor design progress, compliance, and performance against milestones, design criteria, and project objectives.
• Review and validate Design Management Plans and oversee multidisciplinary design coordination across all project packages.
• Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design reviews, consolidating comments from technical specialists and ensuring timely resolution of review comments.
• Review engineering studies, technical reports, specifications, design changes, and Value Engineering proposals to ensure compliance with design intent and lifecycle performance.
• Coordinate design interfaces between architectural, urban planning, infrastructure, transportation, utilities, landscape, and engineering disciplines.
• Coordinate with the Client, Lead Developers, consultants, utility providers, statutory authorities, and other stakeholders to facilitate approvals and timely design submissions.
• Facilitate design coordination meetings, technical workshops, stakeholder review sessions, and Value Engineering workshops.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical directions to the Senior Urban Planning Specialist and Senior Materials Engineer.
• Promote BIM adoption, digital engineering, and effective document management to support coordination and program delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and best practices in design management across the program.

HanmiGlobal is seeking a highly qualified Design Manager to join our program management and PMCM team in Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will drive the design management for a mega multi-work package land and infrastructure development program in Riyadh, delivered on behalf of a major government entity.

You will be providing program-level leadership, governance, coordination, and technical oversight for all multidisciplinary design activities across the program, ensuring all design deliverables are fully integrated and compliant with approved master plans, technical standards, statutory requirements, sustainability objectives, operational needs, and Client's project requirements, while supporting the successful delivery of the overall development program.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of program-wide design governance, management procedures, review processes, and quality assurance standards
• Monitor design progress, compliance, and performance against approved milestones, design criteria, and project objectives

• Coordinate design interfaces between architectural, urban planning, infrastructure, transportation, utilities, landscape, and engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions
• Coordinate with the Client, Lead Developers, consultants, utility providers, statutory authorities, and other stakeholders to facilitate approvals, resolve technical issues, and support timely delivery of design submissions
• Facilitate design coordination meetings, technical workshops, stakeholder review sessions, and Value Engineering workshops
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical directions to the Senior Urban Planning Specialist and Senior Materials Engineer
• Promote the adoption of BIM, digital engineering, and effective document management systems to support design coordination, information management, and program delivery
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and best practices in design management across the program

Requirements
