Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Design Engineer in Dammam to advance transformer design activities, focusing on external design and main layout. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer specifications and international standards are met.

The role requires a mechanical/electrical background, strong problem-solving, and willingness to be based in Saudi Arabia. English proficiency is essential; Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Design and Automation, Power Systems and Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in transformer final assembly design and main layout design is preferred.
• Familiarity with control and protection system design is advantageous.
• Good English reading and writing skills; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
• Willingness to be based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities

• Perform power transformer design activities, focusing on external design and main layout design.
• Participate in design reviews, project kick-off meetings, and technical clarification meetings.
• Provide technical guidance to production teams, resolving design-related questions during manufacturing.
• Clarify customer technical inquiries regarding transformer design requirements and specifications.
• Support procurement teams in localizing transformer component suppliers with technical clarifications.
• Assist service teams in addressing technical issues during the installation, operation, and maintenance of transformers.
