Job summary

This role focuses on transformer electrical design, drawings, bills of materials, submittals, and cross-functional coordination with internal teams, suppliers and customers.

Responsibilities include reviews of manufacturing drawings, transformer calculations such as short-circuit, loading, cooling and impulse, and ensuring compliance with IEC, ANSI and ISO

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical design for transformers.
• Experience in designing foil-winding, CTC-conductor, disc-winding, hermetically sealed and on-load tap changer transformers.
• Proficiency in transformer design software and MS Windows applications.

• Prepare electrical designs for power transformers up to 50 MVA, 132 kV class per customer specs.
• Prepare design drawings, bills of materials and customer technical submittals.
• Review manufacturing and fabrication drawings for compliance with customer specs.
• Perform transformer calculations including short-circuit, loading, cooling, impulse calculations.
• Coordinate with Sales, Purchase, Production, QA, suppliers and customers throughout design and manufacturing.
• Ensure designs comply with IEC, ANSI and QMS/EMS policies.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer for power transformers up to 50 MVA and 132 kV class. The role involves transformer electrical design, preparation of drawings and bills of materials, technical submittals and coordination with internal teams, suppliers and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical designs for power transformers up to 50 MVA, 132 kV class in line with customer requirements and specifications
• Prepare design drawings, bills of materials and customer technical submittals
• Review manufacturing and fabrication drawings to ensure compliance with approved customer specifications
• Perform complete transformer calculations including short-circuit, loading, cooling, impulse and related design calculations
• Coordinate with Sales, Purchase, Production, Quality Assurance suppliers and customers throughout the design and manufacturing process
• Ensure designs comply with IEC, ANSI and applicable QMS and EMS policies and standards

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum 7 years of experience in the electrical design department of a transformer manufacturing company.
• Practical experience designing foil-winding, CTC-conductor, disc-winding, hermetically sealed, conservator-type transformers, and transformers with on-load tap changers.
• Proficiency in FoxPro, DestDT, iTraces, or other transformer design software.
• Good working knowledge of MS Windows applications.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
