Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist for our on-site projects in Qatar with a strong background in statistics and machine learning to solve complex business problems. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to translate business challenges into data‑driven solutions, develop and deploy predictive models, and ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.

Please note: This is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Qatar within the Fintech business area. Being physically present in the office in Qatar is mandatory.

We offer relocation assistance (preferable option) or extended business trips totaling no less than 9 months per calendar year.

What You’ll Do And What You’ll Need

Your Responsibilities

Business Problem Solving

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and formalize analytics requirements.
• Translate business challenges into data workflows and structures.
• Apply statistics and machine learning to solve real‑world problems.
• Utilize analytics tools including Python and Hadoop ecosystem.

Model Development Deployment

• Prepare data through preprocessing, analysis, and visualization.
• Build, train, and evaluate machine learning models (supervised, unsupervised, time series).
• Conduct A/B testing to validate model impact.
• Develop production‑ready code covering full model lifecycle and deployment.

Project Delivery Documentation

• Participate in acceptance testing and ensure solution quality.
• Produce clear documentation for knowledge transfer and maintenance.

Customer Relationship Management

• Maintain positive customer relationships and ensure satisfaction.
• Resolve issues proactively and communicate openly.
• Engage customers with domain expertise and gather feedback to prevent escalations.

Support Sales Project Growth

• Evaluate additional work requests and justify project value.
• Assist in qualifying and assessing change requests.

Experience & Skills We Are Looking For

Required

• Big Data Ecosystem: Hadoop
• Data Analysis: MS Excel for reporting and exploratory analysis
• Readiness to expanded business trips or Relocation to Qatar.
• Proficiency in English.
• Experience working with banking data, transactional data, or customer analytics.
• Proficiency in Arabic.
