Job summary

Decima International is seeking a detail-oriented Design Coordinator to support multidisciplinary design activities for major data center projects in Riyadh. The role assists the Design Manager in coordinating technical information, tracking design deliverables, and maintaining effective communication between consultants, contractors, and engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience coordinating design and engineering across multiple disciplines.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Experience tracking RFIs, submittals, drawings, and design clarifications.
• Experience maintaining design registers, trackers, and document logs.

Responsibilities

• Support the Design Manager in coordinating multidisciplinary design activities.
• Coordinate design information across CSA, MEP, ICT, Security, and other technical disciplines.
• Track design deliverables, outstanding actions, and submission status.
• Maintain design registers, trackers, and action logs.
• Track RFIs, technical submittals, drawings, design comments, and clarifications.
• Follow up with consultants, contractors, and project teams on overdue submissions and responses.
• Support multidisciplinary design coordination meetings.
• Prepare meeting minutes and monitor closure of action items.
• Assist with BIM coordination and clash detection / resolution activities.
• Identify design coordination issues, gaps, and conflicts and escalate them.
• Support drawing and design-package reviews for completeness and coordination.
• Assist with monitoring design progress against project schedules.
• Maintain records of approvals, revisions, design changes, and decisions.
• Coordinate design documentation for construction activities.
• Support preparation of design progress reports and client presentations.
• Assist with commissioning and handover documentation as required.
