Job summary

Vanderlande Industries GmbH is seeking a Controls Project Engineer to design and program PLC controls for material handling systems in airports. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and support sales during bid and contract phases, then drive project delivery in an international environment.

The role requires a bachelor-level technical degree and 8+ years in project engineering, with strong experience in Siemens S7 PLCs, TI A Portal, and SCADA platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level technical degree in a relevant discipline.
• Relevant experience in material handling or similar projects is a plus.
• 8+ years in a project engineering environment is desired.
• Knowledge of lifecycle processes and design practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and program PLC controls for material handling systems in airports.
• Develop Functional Specifications with cross‑functional teams.
• Perform detailed design, programming and testing of PLC software.
• On-site commissioning of systems and integration with the control system.
• Monitor budget and schedule, and take corrective actions as needed.
