Job summary

MAPEI S.p.A. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the design, testing, and safety of electrical systems across plants. You will work with senior engineers and maintenance teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities include detailed calculations, CAD drawings, PLC/SCADA integration, vendor coordination, CAPEX support, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Strong leadership and English proficiency are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering/automation.
Hands-on knowledge of PLCs (Siemens S7, TIA Portal) and SCADA development.
Familiarity with IT networking components and data communications.
Hands-on experience with medium and low voltage electrical systems.
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
Competency in AutoCAD for electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Siemens PLC programming experience preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office for project tracking.
Fluency in English.
Strong leadership and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

Designing, developing, and testing electrical equipment and systems focusing on safety and reliability.
Analyzing electrical systems to identify hazards and ensure code compliance.
Coordinating manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, and testing activities.
Performing detailed calculations to establish standards and specs.
Using CAD/engineering software for tasks and documenting drawings.
Preparing specifications for electrical equipment purchases.
Leading or training project team members as needed.
Collaborating with senior engineers, project managers, and maintenance teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Maintenance responsibility including HSE compliance and leading electricians for daily maintenance and PLC/control system work.
Coordinating contractors and plant personnel to improve processes across locations.
Vendor management for electrical goods supply and QA/QC.
Capex management to keep projects within approved guidelines.
Technical support for troubleshooting and improvements in electromechanical and automation systems.
Documentation and reporting of technical drawings and project scopes using AutoCAD.
Clear communication across management, departments, and vendors.
Root cause analysis for plant operation challenges.
Compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
