Job description
Role Purpose

To manage and administer project contracts within the Manufacturing (MFG) business line, ensuring alignment with company objectives, effective risk mitigation, and compliance with commercial, legal, and contractual standards. The role supports project success through proactive contract management, variation control, and dispute resolution across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the review, drafting, and negotiation of new contracts within the MFG business line, ensuring alignment with company strategies and legal/commercial requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the MFG Contract Manager to oversee legacy and ongoing projects, providing input that supports schedule adherence, cost control, and project delivery performance.
  • Monitor and manage contract execution to ensure all terms, conditions, and deliverables are fulfilled. Identify risks or deviations early and implement mitigation measures.
  • Serve as a key advisor to Project Managers on contractual matters, supporting effective decision-making and administration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare, evaluate, and issue Variation Orders (VOs) in response to scope changes or client requests, ensuring proper documentation, justification, and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Draft and prepare claims and dispute documentation related to clients, subcontractors, or suppliers. Conduct thorough analysis of contract terms, project records, and correspondence to support claim validity.
  • Lead claim resolution and manage disputes concerning delays, cost overruns, or scope variations. Ensure timely submission, negotiation, and settlement in accordance with company policies.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (Legal, Finance, Operations) and external parties (clients, proponents) to align contractual strategies and resolve disputes efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the Legal Team to develop and execute negotiation strategies for dispute settlements, ensuring outcomes that are commercially favorable and legally compliant. Represent the company in negotiations when required.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering essential, certifications in Contracts or Legal is a plus.
  • 10–12 years of proven experience in contract management within Saudi Arabia or the Gulf region, preferably in manufacturing or industrial projects.
  • Strong expertise in contract administration, drafting, and negotiation, including variation and claim management.
  • In-depth understanding of FIDIC, EPCM frameworks, and commercial contract principles.
  • Demonstrated experience managing disputes, claims, and contractual correspondence with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in English (both written and verbal); Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
  • Certifications in Contracts Management, FIDIC, or Legal Studies are a strong plus.
