Job summary

DataVolt in Riyadh invites an experienced Commissioning Lead for data center projects. You will develop commissioning plans, define standards, and coordinate with EPC contractors to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to codes and Quality.

The role requires a bachelor in electrical or mechanical engineering, 8+ years in commissioning including 4+ years in data centres, and familiarity with hyperscaler commissioning. You will use CX software to track activities and produce reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• 8+ years in commissioning with 4+ years in data centres.
• Experience of hyperscaler commissioning process is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement commissioning plans for Data Center projects.
• Define commissioning processes, procedures, and standards.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to establish commissioning schedules.
• Review EPC’s commissioning plan.
• Support in Project set up in CX Software and manage the project tool.
• Review design specifications and engineering drawings to ensure compliance with commissioning requirements.
• Conduct detailed reviews of systems including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and IT infrastructure.
• Ensure all systems are installed and function as intended.
• Develop and execute test plans for all data center systems.
• Supervise and perform functional performance tests, integrated systems testing, and reliability tests.
• Witness tests and review/approve testing and commissioning reports/filled scripts
• Monitor the testing and commissioning testing record and report in CX software.

Responsibilities

You will oversee all the commissioning related activities for data center construction projects. This role is essential in ensuring that projects meet the required standards, codes, and regulations. You will work closely with the project teams and EPC contractor, subcontractors and Commissioning Agent to ensure that the project commissioning activities are on Track and quality of work aligns with the company’s expectations and industry best practices.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in commissioning or project management are a plus.
• 8+ years of experience in commissioning with 4 years of experience in data centre.
• Experience of Hyperscaler Commissioning process is preferred
