Job summary

PrimeGate Company is seeking a Civil Site Engineer to supervise and execute all civil construction activities related to substation projects in accordance with project specifications, approved drawings, SE standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

You will coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and other disciplines to ensure smooth workflow, monitor progress, prepare reports, inspect works from excavation to foundations, and ensure quality and HSE compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• Experience with concrete works and substation infrastructure.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and documents.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily civil works at the substation site.
• Ensure construction follows drawings, specs, and SE standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors.
• Monitor site progress and prepare progress reports.
• Inspect excavation, foundations, cable trenches, concrete works, paving.
• Ensure quality control and HSE compliance at site.
• Review material deliveries and workmanship.
• Resolve technical issues during construction.
• Coordinate testing and inspection with QA/QC and client reps.
• Assist in work schedules, method statements, material requests.
• Manage manpower, equipment, and materials.
• Maintain project documentation and site records.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily civil works activities at the substation site.
• Ensure that all construction activities are executed according to approved drawings, technical specifications, and SE standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and other disciplines to ensure smooth workflow and timely project execution.
• Monitor site progress and prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
• Inspect civil works including excavation, foundations, cable trenches, concrete works, paving, fencing, and structural installations.
• Ensure compliance with quality control procedures and HSE regulations at the site.
• Review and verify material deliveries, quantities, and workmanship quality.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues during construction.
• Coordinate testing and inspection activities with QA/QC and client representatives.
• Assist in preparing work schedules, method statements, and material requests.
• Ensure proper utilization of manpower, equipment, and construction materials.
• Maintain project documentation and site records.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• Good knowledge of SE standards and construction specifications.
• Experience in concrete works, cable trench works, and substation infrastructure.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• A valid driving license is an advantage.
