Job summary

Abis Co is seeking a QC Inspector – Civil to perform inspection and testing of civil construction activities to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards. Daily site presence on active civil fronts is required.

The role involves witnessing pours, tests, and concrete sampling, verifying formwork and rebar placement, and maintaining QA records for handover dossiers. Flexibility for extended hours may be needed to cover inspection hold points.

Qualifications

• Field-based role requiring daily presence on active civil work fronts.
• Exposure to site/construction conditions.
• May require shift work or extended hours to cover inspection hold points.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections on civil works (earthworks, formwork, rebar, concrete).
• Witness concrete pours, compaction tests, and cube/cylinder sampling per the ITP.
• Verify formwork, rebar placement, and dimensions against approved civil drawings.
• Verify materials (concrete mix, rebar) against material certificates and specifications.
• Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports as required.
• Coordinate hold points and inspections with client/third-party inspectors.
• Maintain inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.
• Verify calibration status of measuring and test equipment used on site.
• Support punch-list generation and verification of closure for civil works.
• Ensure work fronts comply with approved method statements and civil codes.
• Support preparation of quality documentation for civil handover dossiers.
