Job summary

Client of Tawzef is seeking a senior accounting leader in Riyadh to oversee all accounting operations across multiple real estate development projects. The role focuses on accuracy, compliance, and profitability, including revenue recognition, budgeting, and close processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 12-15 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong background in Real Estate Development.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all accounting operations ensuring accuracy, efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
• Manage all accounting activities for real estate development projects including costs, revenues, expenses and profitability.
• Monitor project budgets and analyze variances to control costs.
• Oversee real estate revenue recognition, collections, receivables and payment schedules.
• Lead month-end closing, GL, AP, AR, and bank reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow, forecasts, and funding needs across projects.
• Develop internal controls and accounting policies and procedures.
• Prepare financial analyses and reports for senior management decisions.
• Lead and develop the accounting team for timely reporting.
• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, and Project Management for accurate reporting.

Responsibilities

• - Oversee and manage all accounting operations ensuring accuracy efficiency and compliance with financial regulations
• - Supervise the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports
• - Manage all accounting activities related to real estate development projects including project costs revenues expenses and profitability
• - Monitor project budgets track actual expenditures and analyze budget variances to ensure effective cost control
• - Oversee real estate revenue recognition customer installment collections receivables and payment schedules
• - Manage general ledger activities accounts payable accounts receivable bank reconciliations and month-end closing procedures
• - Monitor cash flow financial forecasts and funding requirements across multiple real estate projects
• - Develop and implement effective internal controls accounting policies and financial procedures
• - Prepare financial analyses and performance reports to support senior management in strategic decision-making
• - Lead supervise and develop the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• - Collaborate with Finance Sales and Project Management departments to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting

Requirements

• - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• - 12 15 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong background in the Real Estate Development sector.
• - Must hold a CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certification.
• - Proven experience in a Chief Accountant, Accounting Supervisor, or similar senior accounting position.
• - Strong knowledge of real estate accounting, project costing, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
• - Extensive experience in budgeting, financial forecasting, cash flow management, and cost control.
• - Solid understanding of Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS), taxation, and financial regulations.
• - Strong experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements and management reports.
• - Proficiency in ERP accounting systems and Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial management skills.
• - Strong leadership skills with proven experience in managing accounting teams.
