Job summary

King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh is recruiting a Cardiology Staff Nurse to deliver advanced cardiac care in a high‑volume facility. The role requires 2+ years post‑qualification experience, with at least 1 year in Cardiology, and a current RN license to practice locally.

You will monitor telemetry, administer complex cardiac medications, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and evaluate patient care across the cardiac service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
• 2+ years of clinical experience post qualification, 1+ year in Cardiology.
• Current and in good standing RN license to practice in country of residence.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate advanced cardiac nursing knowledge and clinical competence in cardiology.
• Act as advisor and resource person within the Cardiology Staff Nurse Department.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary cardiac team to provide comprehensive cardiac nursing care, including telemetry monitoring and complex cardiac medications.
• Mentor new nurses in cardiac monitoring techniques and protocols.
• Assess patient and family educational needs regarding cardiac conditions, surgeries, recovery plans, and discharge planning.

Summary

Within the mission, vision and values of the Saudi Arabian Ministry of National Guard – Health Affairs, in close collaboration with medical and other healthcare team members, demonstrates advanced nursing knowledge and applies this knowledge to the assessment, diagnosis, delivery and design of nursing care and interventions in the Cardiology Staff Nurse role. Function under a collaborative management model where Medicine and Nursing jointly participate in decisions.

Education/Qualifications Required:

Experience Post-Qualifications:

• Minimum Two (2) years of clinical experience post qualification

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate advanced cardiac nursing knowledge and clinical competence in cardiology
• Act as an advisor and resource person within the Cardiology Staff Nurse Department
• Work in collaboration with the multidisciplinary cardiac team within the remit of the Registered Nurse (RN) license to provide comprehensive, specialized cardiac nursing care, including monitoring of telemetry and complex cardiac medications
• Act as an advisor and resource person for current evidence-based cardiac nursing practices
• Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills with patients, families, and all members of the Surgical Inpatient Staff Nurse
• Act as an educational resource for clinical staff, mentoring new nurses in cardiac monitoring techniques, pediatric assessment, and stepdown protocols
• Assess patient and family educational needs regarding cardiac conditions, surgeries, recovery plans, and discharge planning using appropriate resources
• Demonstrate respect, compassion, and cultural sensitivity to patients and families dealing with complex cardiac illnesses
• Advocate for excellence in pediatric cardiac patient care and safeguard patient rights at every stage of recovery
• Lead and participate in the development of nursing initiatives or educational programs aimed at improving pediatric cardiac patient quality, safety, and family education
• Demonstrate initiative, critical thinking, and proactive patient management with minimal supervision
