✈️ About the role
In this role, you will be the operational and technical voice of Riyadh Air Flight Operations for our Boeing fleet, with a focus on the B787. You will translate complex technical data into practical procedures, advise on fleet reliability and performance, and collaborate across Engineering, Training, Standards, Safety, and Regulatory Affairs to embed best-in-class operating practices.
🧭 What you'll do
- Act as the primary liaison with Boeing, OEMs, suppliers, and peer airlines on operational and technical matters affecting the B787 fleet.
- Represent Flight Operations on all Boeing technical issues, addressing new and ongoing fleet concerns and translating them into clear operational actions.
- Lead or support review and implementation of service bulletins, software loads, and operational documents (e.g., FCOM, QRH, MEL), ensuring alignment with company SOPs.
- Partner with Training, Standards, and Check Airman/TRI/TRE teams to ensure technical integrity of training syllabi, checking standards, and line operations.
- Analyze operational data and reliability trends; coordinate with internal stakeholders and Boeing to drive corrective actions and performance improvements.
- Provide expert input on flight deck human factors, procedures, and systems usage to enhance safety, efficiency, and consistency.
- Support regulatory engagement and documentation where technical pilot expertise is required.

- Proven expertise as a commercial pilot with deep operational understanding of Boeing aircraft, especially the B787 family.
- Credibility to represent Flight Operations with Boeing, OEMs, regulators, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong technical writing, analytical, and decision-making skills with a pragmatic, safety-first mindset.
- Collaborative leadership style and ability to influence across disciplines (Flight Ops, Engineering, Training, Safety).
🌟 Minimum requirements
- Type rating: Required; B787 family experience strongly preferred.
- Flight experience: 10+ years as a commercial pilot with extensive time on aircraft relevant to the Riyadh Air fleet, including the B787.
- Command: 5+ years of command experience on Boeing aircraft.
- Currency: 150 hours in command within the last 12 months.
- Licenses: ATPL, TRE, TRI (open to ICAO license holders).
- Medical: Class 1.
- English proficiency: ICAO ELP Level 5.
- Leadership: 2+ years in a supervisory/management role within a large airline Flight Operations environment; currently hold or have previously held a Check Airman approval or equivalent (e.g., TRI/TRE).
- Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship provided.
