Job summary

BAE Systems Taif seeks a senior maintenance leader to oversee air Elec and battery maintenance in a Saudi context. You will ensure compliance, coordinate resources, and drive improvements across maintenance teams, with direct accountability to line managers and escalation to senior leadership.

The role requires a strong avionics background, leadership experience, and SCE membership; you will train staff, uphold rigorous quality standards and ensure readiness for Forward Maintenance and SMU

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level or equivalent acceptable to M&CA.
• 7+ years post-qualification maintenance experience in operational flying environment or 3 years on same aircraft type.
• Proven leadership and ability to supervise engineering personnel.
• Relevant type training (‘Q’ Course) and equipment specific training if required.
• Avionics trade background and SCE membership prior to starting in KSA.

Responsibilities

• Review maintenance and challenge practices to identify improvements.
• Ensure manpower and facilities resources are available to perform duties and contractual obligations.
• Monitor personnel standards and address negative trends or deficiencies.
• Develop reports and ensure professional development within area of responsibility.
• Provide training and ensure maintenance personnel are authorised.
• Maintain high quality standards and proper data recording for airworthiness tools.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams, engineering departments, and management.
• Oversee shop housekeeping and safety, including anti-FOD measures.
