Job summary

The ideal candidate will deliver ICT/ELV/AV designs, ensure interoperability with global standards, and supervise technical submittals, site inspections, and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in Building Technology/ICT/ELV/AV systems design.
• Proven experience delivering Creative AV systems on building or mixed-use projects.
• Strong understanding of international standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI, IEC, ISO, AVIXA).

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of smart building design within ICT/BTS scope.
• Develop comprehensive design deliverables: drawings, schematics, specs, BOQs.
• Coordinate with architects, interior designers and client-experience teams.
• Support project planning, reporting and client presentations; oversee testing and commissioning.

Associate / Associate Director – Building Technology Systems at WSP in الرياض, S01, SA.

This Full time on site position offers great opportunities for career growth. WSP Middle East are seeking an Associate / Associate Director – Building Technology Systems to join our growing BTS team within the Property & Buildings business unit in KSA. The ideal candidate will support the delivery of smart building solutions, ICT design, ELV systems, and Creative AV technology for a wide range of high-profile projects across the region.

ICT & Building Technology Systems Lead and contribute to the design of ICT/ELV systems, including structured cabling, data networks, Wi‑Fi, security systems (CCTV, ACS), BMS integration, IPTV, and telecommunications. Develop comprehensive design deliverables such as drawings, schematics, technical specifications, and BOQs. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary design teams to ensure full coordination and seamless system integration.

• Creative AV Systems (Audio‑Visual) Design and review Creative AV systems, covering: Digital signage Video walls Control rooms Meeting room AV
• Interactive and immersive AV environments Provide technical leadership on AV layouts, acoustics, equipment selection, signal flow, and overall system performance. Coordinate with architects, interior designers, and client‑experience teams to deliver innovative, user‑centric AV solutions.
• Smart Building & Technology Integration Support the development of smart building design frameworks within the ICT/BTS scope. Integrate IoT, automation, and digital building platforms into coordinated design packages. Ensure compliance with global standards and interoperability across all technology systems.
• Project Delivery & Coordination Assist with project planning, reporting, and preparation of client presentations. Coordinate effectively with contractors, suppliers, and authorities throughout design and construction phases. Conduct site inspections, review technical submittals, and support testing and commissioning activities.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field. 12+ years of experience in Building Technology / ICT / ELV / AV systems design. Proven experience delivering Creative AV systems on building or mixed‑use projects. Strong understanding of international standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI, IEC, ISO, AVIXA). Excellent communication, presentation, and coordination skills. Consultancy experience in the Middle East is an advantage.
