Job summary

WSP Middle East seeks an Associate / Associate Director – Building Technology Systems to join our BTS team in Saudi Arabia. You will lead ICT/ELV design, deliver comprehensive drawings and specifications, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of smart building and Creative AV solutions across high-profile projects.

The role requires deep expertise in AV/ICT systems, strong knowledge of international standards, and a track record of delivering complex building

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Building Technology / ICT / ELV / AV systems design.
• Proven experience delivering Creative AV systems on building or mixed‑use projects.
• Strong understanding of international standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI, IEC, ISO, AVIXA).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of ICT/ELV systems including structured cabling, data networks, Wi‑Fi, CCTV, ACS, BMS integration, IPTV and telecoms.
• Develop drawings, schematics, technical specs and BOQs.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure full coordination and integration.
• Design and review Creative AV systems: digital signage, video walls, control rooms, meeting room AV, immersive AV environments.
• Provide technical leadership on AV layouts, acoustics, equipment selection, signal flow and system performance.
• Coordinate with architects, interior designers and client experience teams to deliver innovative AV solutions.
• Support development of smart building design frameworks within ICT/BTS scope.
• Integrate IoT, automation and digital building platforms into coordinated design packages.
• Ensure compliance with global standards and interoperability across technology systems.
• Assist with project planning, reporting and client presentations.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and authorities during design and construction.
• Conduct site inspections, review submittals and support testing and commissioning.

The ideal candidate will support the delivery of smart building solutions, ICT design, ELV systems, and Creative AV technology for a wide range of high-profile projects across the region.

Responsibilities

Lead and contribute to the design of ICT/ELV systems, including structured cabling, data networks, Wi‑Fi, security systems (CCTV, ACS), BMS integration, IPTV, and telecommunications.

Develop comprehensive design deliverables such as drawings, schematics, technical specifications, and BOQs.

Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary design teams to ensure full coordination and seamless system integration.

Design and review Creative AV systems, covering:

Digital signage

Video walls

Control rooms

Meeting room AV

Interactive and immersive AV environments

Provide technical leadership on AV layouts, acoustics, equipment selection, signal flow, and overall system performance.

Coordinate with architects, interior designers, and client‑experience teams to deliver innovative, user‑centric AV solutions.

Support the development of smart building design frameworks within the ICT/BTS scope.

Integrate IoT, automation, and digital building platforms into coordinated design packages.

Project Delivery & Coordination
