Job summary

Job description

Supervise and manage the processes related to the site work preparation, execution, verification, and validation of Contractor’s submissions, site works and effective implementation are all in accordance with drawings, specifications and local regulations.

What you will be doing

• Assist in resolving any issues raised by contractors (e.g. requirements for time extensions, change order requests, variations etc); make recommendations to the Resident Engineer as appropriate.
• Attend technical, operational and supply chain meetings as appropriate.
• Attend various off-site inspections including out of country inspection for review of specific material/samples, mock-ups, testing, etc. as per the contract document.
• Ensure that all materials delivered on site are being adequately stored and protected per manufacturer’s recommendations in order to avoid damage of materials.
• Ensure the maintaining of onsite quality control (e.g. through thorough testing of materials and verifying of materials, adequate storage of materials, contractor’s submittal of written undertakings, warranty and protection of installed systems etc.).
• Prepare operational related correspondence for RE / PD review.
• Provide technical support to the related discipline Site Inspection Teams for operations and materials.
• Review related items within the contractor’s construction schedule (CCS) in coordination with the Planning Engineer (e.g. shop drawing submittal log, procurement schedule, and material submittal log etc.) prior to its approval by the Resident Engineer.
• Receive technical documents (from routing) and distribute as appropriate amongst the Discipline Team members.
• Review the technical specification and provide awareness to their discipline team members.

Required Experience

• 3 years of experience in the same field + or as required by related supervision agreement.

Education

• Diploma or Bachelor degree in architectural engineering or similar subjects.

Certifications & Memberships

• Saudi Council of Engineers (SSE) Membership or any local engineer's society membership, i.e. CRPEP (for Bahrain).
