Job summary

Chevron Phillips Chemical Company is seeking an Analyst - Planning & Optimization in Jubail, Eastern Province, to provide analytical and operational support for production planning, feedstock optimization, and mass balance models.

You will develop production schedules, monitor execution, prepare dashboards and KPIs, and collaborate with operations, logistics, and sales to align capacity with demand.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science/engineering field (chem, industrial, or related).
  • Experience in a petrochemical environment is required.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to balance demand, capacity and inventories.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares short- to medium-term production plans balancing demand, plant capability, and maintenance.
  • Develops weekly and monthly production schedules for related products.
  • Tracks schedule execution and reports deviations for corrective action.
  • Performs data collection and validates data for feedstock optimization and mass balance models.
  • Supports planning meetings and provides dashboards and KPIs for decision making.

Title: Analyst - Planning & Optimization

Location: SAU: Jubail, Eastern Province, SA, 35726

Description

Saudi Industrial Investment Group (SIIG) with Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LLC, through a wholly owned affiliate Arabian Chevron Phillips Petrochemical Company (ACP), has two 50/50 joint venture projects in the Eastern Province Industrial City of Al-Jubail: Saudi Chevron Phillips Company (SCP) and Jubail Chevron Phillips Company (JCP). A third joint venture, Saudi Polymers Company (SPCo), is jointly owned by ACP and National Petrochemical Company (Petrochem).

Purpose/Introduction

To provide analytical and operational support in optimization of petrochemical and polymers feedstock streams, Planning and scheduling of petrochemical product line. The role prepares production planning inputs, develops production schedules, performs mass balance analysis, and contributes data to support commercial and operational decision -making.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares short- to medium-term production plans that balance customer demand, plant capabilities, inventory levels, and maintenance constraints.
  • Develops and issues weekly and monthly production schedules for the related products.
  • Tracks, monitors execution of the production schedules, identifies deviations and reports findings for appropriate corrective actions.
  • Prepares scenario comparisons and "what if" cases to support planning reviews.
  • Collects and validates data needed for feedstock optimization and mass balance models converting both petrochemical/hydrocarbons and polymers feedstock streams.
  • Perform preliminary analysis and feedstock allocation scenarios, including Swaps, alternative sourcing, and related aspects
  • Supports mass balance updates by entering data and validating results.
  • Assists in consolidating economics/margin figures for feedstock evaluation.
  • Gather operational, supply and demand data and transform it into dashboards, tables and KPIs for planning decision support
  • Prepares regular reports on feedstock utilization, production plans, inventories and capacity utilization.
  • Highlights abnormalities or trends.
  • Coordinates with operations, logistics/distribution, sales and business development to gather requires data and clarifies assumptions used in the planning and feedstock modeling.
  • Supports planning and optimization meetings with required material and analysis
  • Participating in S&OP and ES&OP meetings to align production capabilities with commercial demand
  • Undertakes accountabilities in the operational excellence process as set out in the schedule of responsibilities.
  • Contributes to the processes of continuous improvement for the area assigned.
  • Perform any other relevant task as directed.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s of Science/Engineering
  • Chemical, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Skills/Performance Indicators
  • Must be from a petrochemical environment.
  • Excellent in MS Spreadsheets.
  • Proficient in tools like Aspen PIMS, SAP, or similar is highly preferred.
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytics, and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals,professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and proceduremanuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
