Job summary

Systra, a global engineering and consulting group, seeks an experienced Accountant to join its Riyadh Finance team. You will manage day-to-day accounting duties, including GL entries, reconciliations, and preparing financial statements in accordance with Saudi regulations.

The role requires 1-2 years in accounts payable or related accounting, familiarity with ERP systems, and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. SOCPA registration is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in accounts payable or related accounting role.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; SOCPA registration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process, verify, and reconcile invoices and payment transactions.
• Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers.
• Monitor and manage outstanding balances, following up on discrepancies.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Record accounting transactions and prepare adjusting journal entries as needed.
• Assist in reconciling account balances and bank statements.
• Handle employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Assist in preparing financial reports related to accounts payable and other general accounting tasks.
• Support the finance team in generating periodic reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
• Support internal and external audits, providing required documentation and explanations.

• Verify receipts, ensure proper approvals, and process reimbursements in a timely manner.
• Assist in preparing financial reports related to accounts payable and other general accounting tasks.
• Support the finance team in generating periodic reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
• Support internal and external audits, providing required documentation and explanations.

Experience Required:

• 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.

Education Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. SOCPA Registered preferred.
