Job summary

Al Qadisiyah is seeking an Academy Translator to bridge communication between academy players, coaches and staff. The role involves accurate English-Arabic translation and supervising educational language sessions for residency players.

You will deliver English language lectures, translate official documents, and support players in adapting to a football-focused environment, emphasizing football terminology and professional language skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Languages, Education or Literature.
• Fluency in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
• SAFF and AFC C License.
• FIFA Guardian safeguarding qualification.
• Teaching or training experience in English language education is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide live and written translations between English and Arabic for coaches, players and academy staff.
• Assist during training sessions, tactical meetings and match analysis to ensure players understand instructions.
• Translate official club documents, training materials, reports and internal communications.
• Facilitate communication between international players and academy staff for seamless integration.
• Design and conduct English language sessions and educational lectures for academy residency players.
• Focus on football-specific English terminology to help players communicate effectively on the field.
• Provide lessons on general communication skills, media interactions and daily life conversations.
• Assist players in improving their academic and professional language abilities for future careers.
• Support young international players in adapting to the club's environment and culture.

Job Purpose The Academy Translator will play a vital role in bridging communication between academy players coaches and staff by providing accurate English-Arabic translation and ensuring a smooth exchange of tactical and operational information Additionally the role includes educational supervision for club residency players delivering English language sessions and lectures to enhance their communication skills both on and off the field

Job Responsibilities

Language & Communication Support

• Provide live and written translations between English and Arabic for coaches players and academy staff
• Assist during training sessions tactical meetings and match analysis to ensure players fully understand instructions
• Translate official club documents training materials reports and internal communications
• Facilitate communication between international players and academy staff to ensure seamless integration

Tactical & Technical Understanding

• Deep understanding of football tactics training methodologies and terminology to accurately interpret coaching instructions
• Assist in translating tactical discussions set-piece strategies and video analysis sessions
• Ensure football-specific language is correctly conveyed to enhance player development and performance

Educational Supervision

• Design and conduct English language sessions and educational lectures for academy residency players
• Focus on football-specific English terminology to help players communicate effectively on the field
• Provide lessons on general communication skills media interactions and daily life conversations
• Assist players in improving their academic and professional language abilities for future career opportunities

Player & Staff Support

• Support young international players in adapting to their new cultural and football environment
• Act as a mentor for players helping them develop essential life skills alongside their football education

Qualifications

• Bacheloru degree in Languages, Education or Literature
• SAFF, AFC C License
• FIFA Guardian safeguarding qualification
• Fluency in English and Arabic (both spoken and written)
• Teaching or training experience in English language education is a strong advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Strong understanding of football tactics, coaching methodologies, and terminology
