Job summary

Alfaisal University is seeking a Library Officer to provide frontline services at the circulation desk and Customer Service Center, supporting library programs and ensuring efficient access to resources for students and faculty.

The role collaborates on collection development, helps users locate reference materials, conducts cataloging and classification, and assists with research services and instruction across colleges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in an academic library or related field.
• Experience with cataloging, reference services, and user instruction is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Helps students and faculty locate library resources and provides technical assistance.
• Collaborates on collection development by selecting databases, serials, books, and other formats.
• Performs classification and cataloging tasks and maintains accurate records.
• Resolves reference questions and conducts research consultations with students and faculty.
• Supports library programs and outreach across colleges and departments.
