Job summary

Confidential Company in Doha is seeking a senior Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to lead testing and commissioning of large-scale projects. You will develop comprehensive plans and ensure all systems meet design specifications and project requirements.

You will inspect, test and document HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and other mechanical systems, identify deviations, and collaborate with contractors and project managers to implement effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in mechanical testing and commissioning for large-scale projects.
• Proven expertise in commissioning HVAC, plumbing, fire suppression, and other mechanical building systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive mechanical testing and commissioning plans ensuring all systems function according to design specifications and project requirements.
• Perform detailed inspections and functional tests on mechanical equipment including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and elevators, identifying and documenting deviations or defects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical system issues during commissioning phase in collaboration with contractors and project managers.
• Verify installation, calibration and operation of all mechanical components and systems ensuring compliance with codes, standards and manufacturer guidelines.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and specifications.
