Job summary

Confidential Company in Doha, Qatar seeks a senior Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to lead testing, verification and start-up of building systems. You will develop and execute comprehensive commissioning plans for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and elevators; supervise inspections and functional tests; and liaise with contractors and project managers to implement solutions.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 8+ years of commissioning experience on large-scale

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in mechanical testing and commissioning on large-scale projects.
• Proven expertise in HVAC, plumbing, fire suppression and related building systems.
• Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive commissioning plans ensuring systems meet design specs and project requirements.
• Perform detailed inspections and functional tests on HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and elevators; document deviations.
• Troubleshoot mechanical system issues during commissioning and coordinate with contractors and PMs for effective solutions.
• Verify installation, calibration and operation of mechanical components, ensuring compliance with codes and manufacturer guidelines.

Develop and execute comprehensive mechanical testing and commissioning plans ensuring all systems function according to design specifications and project requirements Perform detailed inspections and functional tests on mechanical equipment including HVAC plumbing fire protection and elevators identifying and documenting any deviations or defects Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical system issues during the commissioning phase collaborating with contractors and project managers to implement effective solutions Verify the correct installation calibration and operation of all mechanical components and systems ensuring compliance with relevant codes standards and manufacturer guidelines

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in mechanical testing and commissioning for large-scale projects (e.g., industrial plants, commercial buildings, infrastructure). Proven expertise in commissioning HVAC, plumbing, fire suppression, and other mechanical building systems Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and specifications.
