Job description

Responsibilities

• Formulate a comprehensive commissioning programme in conjunction with the planning manager, including the production of commissioning logic networks, methods and programmes.
• Produce a comprehensive method statement in conjunction with the QA/QC manager.
• Provide a watching brief during the installation period.
• Review MEP drawings and identify any possible problems for commissioning the systems.
• Witness and collate all on-site and off-site pressure testing.
• Oversee all commissioning activities by sub-contractors (e.g., BMS, FAS, and Fire Protection).
• Oversee commissioning of TAB specialist.
• Agree pro-forma documentation.
• Establish start-up and operating procedures.
• Check test instruments.
• Witness test results and arrange for the Consultant’s attendance.
• Establish emergency procedures and witness plant close-down.
• Define system handover protocols.
• Oversee the production of O&M manuals.

Qualifications

• University qualifications: M.E / M.Sc (Mechanical / Electrical).
• Experience: Subcontract work; 10+ years experience in MEP.
• Commissioning: Mechanical & Electrical.
• Specialist knowledge: HVAC equipment types such as AHUs, FAHUs, FCUs and Fans / LV.
• Other skills: Good communication, organized, management skills / team leader.
• Language: English.
