Job summary

Norconsult Telematics in Damascus Governorate, Syria seeks an experienced SME for telecom asset management and data governance. You will define standards for asset identification, lifecycle management, tagging, and reconciliation across CMDB, ERP, and inventory systems, ensuring audit-ready records and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 8–12+ years in telecom asset management or related areas.
• Experience identifying telecom and datacenter equipment by vendor, model, and location attributes.
• Experience developing asset survey standards and data quality controls.
• Hands-on experience with physical asset surveys and barcode/RFID tools.
• Strong analytical, documentation, reporting, and governance skills.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and communicate with technical and non-technical teams.
• Arabic and English proficiency mandatory.
• ISO 55000/55001 awareness or certification preferred.
• ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
• Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP) or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for telecom asset management, asset identification, lifecycle status management, and asset data governance.
• Define and enforce asset management standards, tagging conventions, and data capture requirements.
• Provide guidance for identification and classification of telecom and datacenter equipment.
• Lead QA/QC activities for asset survey outputs and reconciliation readiness.
• Coordinate with field survey teams, site operations, engineering, inventory specialists, and vendors.
• Define reconciliation logic between surveys, CMDB, inventory databases, ERP asset registers, and systems.
• Support lifecycle governance including asset creation, transfer, decommissioning, disposal, and evidence retention.
• Prepare and monitor asset management KPIs, exception reports, and data quality dashboards.
• Ensure compliance with asset governance standards and safety requirements.
• Support audit activities and provide technical clarification related to asset records.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in telecom asset governance and data quality.
• Collaborate with planning, rollout, engineering, operations, and vendor management teams.
