Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Head of the Tax Compliance Risk Section in Qatar to lead data-driven analyses identifying tax compliance risks and to coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders. The role drives development of risk-based audit targets and improved compliance measures.

The incumbent will oversee risk reviews, report findings, and guide the adoption of advanced analytics to quantify tax gaps and prioritize interventions across sectors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in tax compliance risk or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of tax legislation and compliance methodologies.
• Experience with data analytics to support regulatory interventions.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Professional certifications are considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee tax compliance risk analysis using statistical models, research activities, behavioral analysis, and sector-based analytics to identify patterns of non-compliance.
• Review periodic reports detailing identified tax risks, methodologies used, and estimated financial impacts while ensuring output quality.
• Develop recommendations to mitigate tax risks through enhanced compliance measures and targeted audits.
• Oversee estimation of tax gaps and assess impact across sectors.
• Coordinate with IT to develop analytical tools for tax risk identification and management.
• Identify taxpayers for audits based on risk analysis and available data.
