Job summary

Qatar Airways in Doha is seeking a Training Procurement Specialist to facilitate internal and external training programmes in line with the Training Plan, manage contracts and purchase orders, and monitor cost performance for training initiatives.

You will coordinate logistics for external courses, assist in content design, and deliver sessions using adult-learning approaches, collaborating with HR and business units to ensure timely and compliant delivery.

  • Process invoices and ensure compliance with Training Bond Policy.
  • Capture data and measure outcomes from training events to evaluate impact.
  • Assist in designing training materials and eLearning content.
  • Provide on-the-job training related to HR/learning systems to ensure knowledge transfer.

Description
About the Role

Facilitate the implementation of internal and external training programmes in accordance with training matrix and annual Training Plan for the airport. This includes but is not limited to liaising with various international and local training providers, managing contracts and/or other legal purchase orders, monitoring and reporting on cost performance and handling overall end-to-end procurement process. Additionally, the role involves a delivery of internal training programmes for HIA employees as well as a co-design of a training content.

  • Work closely with the business on the implementation plan of external training programmes to ensure that the external courses identified by the respective departments in the Training Plan are delivered in a timely manner and as per their requirements.
  • Perform a benchmarking of training courses that will help the team in implementing the end to end procurement process of training programmes and services to ensure appropriate offering is selected in the company’s best interest.
  • Manages purchase orders and/or training contracts against business requirements to ensure that training scope and budgetary aspects are met.
  • Evaluate the cost of external training courses and assess the applicability of training bonds; when applicable, prepare and process training bonds to ensure the compliance with the Training Bond Policy.
  • Responsible for all scheduling and logistical activities for the external courses to be in place which include but are not limited to nominations, communication and verification of pre-requisites, enrolment process, etc.to ensure readiness of the training delivery.
  • Ensures that all post training activities of external courses are processed and completed in adherence to the company processes and policies, this includes but is not limited to assessing invoices against POs/contracts, reviewing completion certificates.
  • Collates, evaluates and measures the data on third-party suppliers’ learning and training interventions to ensure the compliance with training objectives and delivery requirements.
  • Capture and analyses data from learning and talent development events to support the evaluation of initiatives in the immediate and longer term and at various evaluation levels such as participant reaction and learning application.
  • Supports in organizing internal, external and special training programmes such as rotations, airport familiarizations, internships and community service programmes, which includes but is not limited to co-designing programme structure, liaising with hosting departments, setting up schedules, preparations of HR documents to ensure seamless programme delivery.
  • Assist in designing training materials and digital eLearning courses by collating information and course content to ensure relevant course design as per stakeholder requirements, such as Ramadan awareness and welcome to Qatar.
  • Deliver various training programmes using adult-learning approach and techniques to ensure professional, high standards and value added delivery across HIA.
  • Act as the focal point in coordination with other subsidiaries and delivers on-the-job training related to various HR/Learning systems and processes e.g. functioning of GEMS, My Path, Oracle, e-Sourcing, Training Bond preparation, etc. to ensure teams and departmental knowledge transfer.
  • Plan and organize a regular refresher training to reinforce and upgrade participants' existing knowledge and skills and/or ensure regulatory compliance, wherever applicable.
  • Research and source learning options and channels for managers and employees to meet specific needs.
  • Contributes to planning, preparations and implementation of various engagement programmes and initiatives such as sport events, team building activities, newsletters, employee surveys in order to enhance the level of employee engagement at the workplace.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
Qualification
About You

High School Qualification I Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience.

Or

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience.
