Job summary

BAE Systems Strategic Aerospace Services WLL is seeking a System Test Manager to lead the testing team and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.

The role requires planning, coordinating, and supervising all testing activities, defining effective test strategies, and managing resources to meet project timelines and quality standards, including support during night and after-office hours when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in software testing with at least 10 years in a managerial role leading end-to-end testing for large-scale projects (Agile and Waterfall).
• Experience in large-scale testing and commissioning in transport/traffic management domains is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Hands-on with test management tools (JIRA, TestRail), automation tools (Selenium, UFT), and defect tracking systems.
• Proven experience in vendor/partner collaboration and stakeholder management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain test strategies, plans, and processes aligned with project requirements and business objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of testers to ensure high productivity, quality, and motivation.
• Collaborate with project manager, software manager, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and define testing scope.
• Oversee test execution across functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
• Define, monitor, and report testing metrics and risks to senior management.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to software releases and deployments.
• Manage test environments, tools, and automation frameworks to enhance testing efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality policies.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing processes through feedback and retrospectives.
• Coordinate testing activities with external vendors or partners when applicable.
• Provide support for night and after-office hour testing activities as required.
