Job summary

BAE Systems in Doha seeks an experienced System Test Manager to lead our testing team and ensure high-quality software deliveries. You will plan, coordinate, and oversee all testing activities, define robust strategies, and manage resources to meet project timelines and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on test leadership across Agile and Waterfall environments, with familiarity in transportation/traffic management projects and strong collaboration with project managers,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• At least 15 years in software testing and QA, with 10+ years in a managerial role for large projects.
• Experience in Agile and Waterfall environments.
• Experience with large transport/traffic management projects is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Hands-on experience with JIRA, TestRail, Selenium, UFT, and defect tracking.
• Vendor/partner collaboration and stakeholder management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with performance testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain test strategies, plans, and processes.
• Lead and mentor a team of testers to ensure productivity, quality, and motivation.
• Collaborate with project manager, software manager, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and testing scope.
• Oversee test execution across functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
• Define, monitor, and report testing metrics to senior management.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to software releases and deployments.
• Manage test environments, tools, and automation frameworks to enhance testing efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality policies.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing processes through feedback and retrospectives.
• Coordinate testing activities with external vendors or partners when applicable.
• Provide support for night and after-office hour testing activities as required.
