Job summary

Swan is seeking a Supply Chain Manager for Lubricants Manufacturing in Doha, Qatar. You will lead procurement and supply chain operations to ensure uninterrupted plant production and optimize costs, inventories, and supplier performance.

Responsibilities include sourcing base oils and additives, negotiating contracts, and managing local and international suppliers with strong knowledge of lubricant formulations and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Proven expertise in sourcing lubricant base oils (Group I–V) and additive packages.

We are hiring - Supply Chain Manager – Lubricants Manufacturing

Location: Doha, Qatar Duration: Long Term

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead procurement and supply chain operations to ensure uninterrupted plant production.
• Manage sourcing and purchasing of base oils, additives, packaging materials, and plant consumables.
• Develop procurement strategies to optimize costs, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
• Monitor global market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply availability for lubricant raw materials.
• Coordinate demand planning, inventory control, logistics, and warehouse operations. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, refineries, and additive manufacturers.
• Negotiate contracts, evaluate vendor performance, and drive cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and prepare procurement, inventory, and supplier performance reports.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7–12 years of procurement and supply chain experience in lubricant, petrochemical, or chemical manufacturing industries.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in sourcing lubricant base oils (Group I–V) and additive packages. Strong knowledge of lubricant formulations, raw materials, and manufacturing supply chains.
• Hands-on experience in strategic sourcing, inventory planning, and supplier management.
• Strong negotiation skills with experience managing local and international suppliers.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or APICS will be an added advantage.
