Job summary

Swan Global is seeking a Pipelay Engineer to plan, supervise, and execute subsea pipeline installation activities for a Marine EPC project in Qatar. The role ensures compliance with engineering specs, safety standards, and project schedules, coordinating S-lay, J-lay, and reel-lay operations.

You will work with vessel crews, survey teams, and offshore construction staff to maintain quality, resolve technical issues, and verify as-laid reports against route alignments while upholding IMCA and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Offshore, or Marine Engineering.
• 5+ years in offshore pipelay operations (S-lay/J-lay/reel-lay).
• Subsea pipelay training and offshore safety certifications (BOSIET, HUET, CA-EBS).

Responsibilities

• Design and review pipelay procedures (installation analysis, layback calculations, stress analysis).
• Coordinate with vessel crew, survey team, and offshore construction team for seamless operations.
• Ensure compliance with DNV, API, ASME, and client specifications for pipeline installation.
• Oversee pipelay vessel operations (tensioners, A&R, stinger adjustments).
• Review as-laid pipeline survey reports and ensure route alignment compliance.
