Job summary

Swan Global is seeking a Project Engineer Telecom & Communication for offshore EPC projects in Qatar. You will coordinate engineering, review telecom designs, manage procurement, and support commissioning across offshore platforms.

The role requires strong liaison with vendors, construction, and commissioning teams, ensuring compliance with international codes and operator standards. Offshore certification and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electronics, telecoms, electrical or instrumentation engineering.
• 8+ years EPC project experience with 4+ years offshore oil & gas projects.
• Experience in design and execution of telecom systems (CCTV, PA/GA, radio, fiber optics, LAN/WAN).
• Familiarity with QatarEnergy/ADNOC/ARAMCO telecom standards.
• Proficiency with telecom design tools and databases.

Responsibilities

• Review telecom system design deliverables and architecture.
• Coordinate with engineering consultants and client representatives for specs.
• Ensure designs meet offshore and international codes (IEC, ITU, NFPA 72).
• Review vendor documents for CCTV, PA/GA, radio, LAN/WAN, and access control systems.
• Support development of the Telecom System Design Basis and control room architecture.
• Prepare Material Requisitions and Technical Bid Evaluations for telecom systems.
• Participate in vendor prequalification, bid review, and clarification meetings.
• Coordinate with vendors for FAT, inspection and document approval.
• Track procurement schedules for offshore telecom equipment delivery.
• Ensure certifications meet hazardous area requirements (Ex, IECEx).
