Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Structures Technician Sub-Amp to act as a subject matter expert advising AMP managers and staff on lifecycle management of facility-related mechanical and HVAC assets at Al Udeid Air Base, Doha, Qatar. The role supports AFCAP efforts and requires coordinating with Facilities AMP and Sub-AMP teams to ensure structural integrity and compliance.

The candidate will oversee design calculations, inspection plans, and cost/time estimates, while ensuring safety and quality

Qualifications

• Technicians shall have AF minimum 5 level or equal and 5 years experience in their trades.
• Must complete listed AFIT courses online or via live broadcast within first available offering.
• Prior R&O experience and NexGen experience preferred.
• Requires ability to use Microsoft Office and Project.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Advise AMP Managers, Operations and Engineering staff on investment of systems under purview.
• Support asset lifecycle management for facilities structure, envelope, and interior finishes.
• Assist with inspection, maintenance, repair, sustainment, and recapitalization plans.
• Coordinate pre-design work for construction renovations and improvements.
• Prepare cost estimates, schedules, correspondence and construction drawings for bids.
