Job summary

Deloitte in Doha, Qatar seeks an Audit & Assurance Manager to lead complex engagements for major clients. You will supervise engagement teams, review work papers, and ensure timely delivery while upholding the firm's standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 6+ years in public accounting, with Big 4 exposure, and holds an accounting degree; professional credentials (CA/ACCA/CPA) are highly valued. Fluent English is required; Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of experience in public accounting, auditing, audit management, budgeting and business strategy, preferably with Big 4 firms.
• Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Extensive knowledge of best practice reporting and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Ability to apply accounting/auditing standards consistently and gather evidence for financial statements.
• Develops knowledge of Deloitte tools and audit methodology through formal learning and on-the-job training.
• Ability to review audit documentation for completeness, accuracy and timely archiving of work papers.
• International accounting qualification (CA/ACCA/CPA) is required.

Responsibilities

• Builds trust by meeting stakeholder needs while providing constructive challenge on engagement issues.
• Reviews documentation of flows of transactions and tests of relevant controls early in the audit cycle.
• Suggests mitigating testing and coordinates with senior staff or partner as needed.
• Communicates project plan and management expectations to the engagement team.
• Ensures compliance with auditing standards, relevant laws and independence requirements.
