Job summary

Airswift in Qatar seeks a Senior System Engineer (Corporate Solution - MIMS Support) to lead IT projects and supplier engagements.

You will drive requirements, manage procurement cycles, and ensure solutions align with QatarEnergy business needs and budgets. A Bachelor’s degree, PMP is preferred, and you will bring 9+ years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or related Engineering/Business field.
• 9+ years of progressive, directly related experience.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, requirements analysis, tendering, and vendor negotiation.
• Experience with SDLC and information security requirements.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire project lifecycle, ensuring smooth execution and timely delivery of projects.
• Oversee procurement processes, conduct bid evaluations and vendor negotiations.
• Analyze user requirements, prepare feasibility/business case reports and technical requirements documents.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and develop risk strategies.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and manage expectations.

SR. SYSTEM ENGINEER (CORPORATE SOLUTION - MIMS SUPPORT)

Qualification Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or a related Engineering/Business field. Trained and preferably certified as PMP.

Technical Skills Strong Knowledge and experience of software procurement procedures, requirements/systems analysis, tendering procedures, vendor's negotiation, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Information Security requirements. High level design document.

Management & Leadership Skills Excellent people management, problem solving, persuasion, negotiation, and decision-making skills and team player with good written and verbal communication skills. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Experience Minimum 9 years of progressive and directly related experience.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Project Management
  • Manage the entire project life cycle, ensuring smooth execution and timely delivery of projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
• Procurement & Vendor Management
  • Possess a deep understanding of procurement processes, enabling effective management of vendor and facilitating the acquisition of necessary resources.
  • Conduct comprehensive technical and commercial evaluations of bids received, allowing for informed decision-making during the selection process.
• Requirements Analysis & Solution Delivery
  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates user requirements, and prepares feasibility/business case reports and technical requirements documents to make sure that IT projects are delivered according to QatarEnergy business needs and approved budget.
  • Identify user requirements, create scope of work, draft functional requirements, Design, implement, and deploy IT business solutions.
  • Implementing diverse corporate solutions to meet specific business need.
• Risk Management identifying and managing risks associated with a project. This includes the ability to develop risk mitigation strategies.
• Stakeholder Management
  • Ensure effective communication with stakeholders, keeping them informed of project progress and any changes.
• Technical Expertise Strong technical knowledge and understanding of IT concepts and technologies.
• Methodology & Delivery Applying Agile methodology to enhance project flexibility and responsiveness to evolving requirements.
• Team Leadership Lead and manage cross-functional teams of technical and non-technical staff.
