Job summary

Madre Integrated Engineering is seeking a Site Inspector (Architectural) to support design and build interior fit-out projects by reviewing architectural designs, inspecting site works and ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and Qatar standards.

You will coordinate with design and build teams, monitor progress, review materials and submissions, and prepare inspection reports and progress updates to support interim and final handovers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture is required.
• Professional registration is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in architectural design, construction supervision or project management.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, shop drawings, submittals and method statements.
• Inspect architectural and interior fit-out works (partitions, ceilings, flooring, finishes, doors, joinery).
• Coordinate with Design & Build contractor, consultants and subcontractors.
• Ensure integration of architectural, structural and MEP works.
• Monitor progress, workmanship and compliance with approved designs.
• Identify quality deficiencies and issue site observations or NCRs.
• Prepare inspection reports and progress updates.
• Verify completed works for interim payment applications.
• Assist with review of variation proposals related to architectural works.
• Participate in snagging, testing, commissioning and handover inspections.
• Maintain RFIs, site instructions, inspection requests, quality records and as-built documentation.
• Ensure compliance with QCS, Qatar Civil Defense requirements and international standards.

Job description

We are seeking a Site Inspector (Architectural) who will support the successful delivery of Design & Build interior fit-out projects by reviewing architectural designs, inspecting site activities, coordinating technical interfaces and ensuring that all works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, contractual requirements and applicable Qatar standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review architectural drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and technical submissions.
• Inspect architectural and interior fit-out works, including:
  • Partitions and ceilings
  • Flooring and wall finishes
  • Doors and glazing
  • Joinery and furniture
  • Decorative finishes
  • Specialist architectural elements
• Coordinate with the Design & Build contractor, consultants and specialist subcontractors.
• Ensure proper integration of architectural, structural and MEP works.
• Monitor construction progress, workmanship and compliance with approved designs.
• Identify quality deficiencies and issue site observations or Non-Conformance Reports.
• Follow up and verify the completion of corrective actions.
• Review material samples, mock-ups and prototype installations before full implementation.
• Attend inspections, progress meetings and technical coordination meetings.
• Prepare inspection reports and construction progress updates.
• Verify completed architectural works for interim payment applications.
• Assist with the review of variation proposals related to architectural works.
• Participate in snagging, de-snagging, testing, commissioning and final handover inspections.
• Maintain RFIs, site instructions, inspection requests, quality records and as-built documentation.
• Ensure compliance with QCS, Qatar Civil Defense requirements and applicable international standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture.
• Professional registration is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in architectural design, construction supervision or project management.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in high-end commercial office fit-out projects.
• Experience in Design & Build contracts is essential.
• Qatar experience and familiarity with major corporate office projects are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of QCS, Qatar Civil Defense requirements and local authority approval procedures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Revit or BIM experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of joinery, millwork, material inspection, finishes, QA/QC, snagging and handover.
