Job summary

The role collaborates with Maintenance, Engineering, Projects Management, and Fabrication teams, providing technical support during production and turnarounds while leading safety-compliant welding activities and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in mechanical, metallurgy, welding engineering or a related discipline.
• 8–10 years of direct and relevant experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or heavy manufacturing.
• Professional CWE or CWI certification is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick) and industry materials.
• Familiar with welding standards and regulations governing practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement welding processes and procedures for specific projects.
• Carry out inspections and audits of welding activities to ensure compliance with industry standards and company specifications.
• Provide technical guidance to maintenance field, production teams and stakeholders when addressing welding issues.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Field, Engineering, Projects Management, Fabrication to integrate welding into project plans.
• Develop and deliver training programs on welding techniques, safety practices, and equipment use.
• Maintain documentation of welding processes, qualifications, and inspections for audits.
• Stay updated on emerging welding technologies and evaluate their applicability to projects.
• Ensure all welding activities adhere to safety regulations and best practices.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Metallurgy, Welding Engineering or relevant discipline
