Senior Vendor Financial Assessment & Due Diligence Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead vendor financial assessments, procurement due diligence, and supplier risk evaluation activities. The successful candidate will play a critical role in assessing the financial stability and sustainability of vendors, supporting procurement decision-making, mitigating supplier-related risks, and ensuring the organization engages with financially sound and reliable suppliers.

Key Responsibilities (Financial Health & Procurement Focus)

Vendor Financial Assessment & Due Diligence Lead financial health assessments for new and existing vendors as part of the vendor registration, prequalification, onboarding, and renewal processes. Review audited financial statements, management accounts, bank references, credit reports, and other financial records to assess vendor financial stability. Evaluate key financial indicators including profitability, liquidity, solvency, cash flow, leverage, and working capital adequacy. Conduct financial risk assessments and prepare detailed due diligence reports for procurement and management review. Identify financial risks that may impact contract delivery, business continuity, or supplier performance. Develop vendor financial risk ratings and recommend mitigation measures where required. Procurement Risk Management Support procurement activities by providing financial due diligence assessments for strategic, high-value, and critical suppliers. Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Internal Audit, and business stakeholders to evaluate supplier financial risks. Establish and maintain financial risk monitoring mechanisms for critical vendors. Perform periodic reassessments of existing suppliers to identify emerging financial concerns. Recommend supplier risk mitigation plans, alternative sourcing strategies, or enhanced monitoring requirements. Vendor Governance & Compliance Ensure vendor financial assessments comply with procurement policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements. Maintain financial due diligence records and vendor risk profiles. Support vendor audit activities and procurement governance reviews. Contribute to the development of supplier risk management frameworks and financial assessment methodologies. Reporting & Analytics Prepare financial assessment reports, risk dashboards, and management summaries. Monitor supplier financial trends and provide early warning indicators for financially distressed vendors. Analyze market intelligence, industry developments, and financial data to support procurement decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications
