Job summary

Qatar Insurance Company is seeking an experienced underwriting leader to manage day-to-day Property, Engineering and Casualty underwriting in a large general insurance setting. You will lead a team of underwriting managers and officers, mentor staff and drive profitable growth while ensuring compliance with guidelines and audit requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years’ experience in multi-line product underwriting.
• Leadership experience of at least 10 years managing a team of 10+ members.
• GCC exposure and strong relationship with reinsurers preferred.
• Proven ability to manage large, profitable portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Run and manage day-to-day Property, Engineering & Casualty underwriting in a large general insurer.
• Lead a team of Underwriting Managers, Assistant Underwriting Managers and Officers.
• Maintain and develop relationships with corporate clients and brokers.
• Coordinate with reinsurance, claims, actuarial, finance, legal and compliance.
• Negotiate major deals with clients and brokers; ensure timely documentation and audits.
